Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making selah.net accessible and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities.
Last updated: March 9, 2026
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Selah Digital believes that the web should be accessible to everyone. As a healthcare technology consultancy, we understand that accessibility is not optional — it is foundational to inclusive, equitable technology.
We are committed to ensuring that our website, selah.net, provides a positive and accessible experience for all visitors, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continuously work to improve the usability of our site.
Conformance Status
We strive to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Target standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA. While we strive for full conformance, some content may not yet fully meet all criteria. We are actively working to identify and resolve any accessibility gaps.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features across selah.net:
Keyboard Navigation
- All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are accessible via keyboard navigation using the Tab, Enter, and Escape keys
- Visible focus indicators are provided on all interactive elements to show which element is currently selected
- A “Skip to main content” link is provided at the top of every page to allow keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation elements
Screen Reader Support
- Semantic HTML elements (header, nav, main, section, footer) are used throughout the site to convey document structure
- ARIA labels and roles are applied where necessary to provide context for interactive components and dynamic content
- All images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with
aria-hidden="true"to be skipped by screen readers - Headings follow a logical hierarchy (h1 through h3) to support screen reader navigation
- Breadcrumb navigation includes proper
aria-labelattributes
Color and Contrast
- Text and interactive elements maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, consistent with WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements
- Information is not conveyed by color alone; visual indicators such as icons, text labels, and borders are used in conjunction with color
- Focus states use visible outlines that do not rely solely on color changes
Responsive Design
- The site is fully responsive and functions across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes
- Content reflows appropriately when zoomed up to 200% without loss of information or functionality
- Touch targets meet minimum size guidelines for mobile accessibility
Motion and Animation
- Animations and transitions respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. Users who have indicated a preference for reduced motion in their operating system settings will experience minimal or no animation - No content on the site flashes more than three times per second
- Auto-playing content is avoided; all media requires user interaction to play
Forms and Interactive Elements
- All form fields include associated labels for screen reader identification
- Error messages are clearly associated with the relevant form field and announced to assistive technologies
- Required fields are indicated both visually and programmatically
- The cookie consent dialog is accessible via keyboard and screen reader, with appropriate ARIA roles and live region announcements
Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, we are aware of the following areas where improvements are in progress:
- Third-party content: Some embedded content from third-party services (such as CMS-managed editorial content) may not fully meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We work with our content management providers to address accessibility in published material.
- PDF documents: Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. New documents are created with accessibility in mind, including tagged structure and alt text for images.
We are actively monitoring and working to resolve these limitations. If you encounter any accessibility barrier not listed here, please let us know.
Technologies
The accessibility of selah.net relies on the following technologies:
- HTML5
- WAI-ARIA 1.2
- CSS / Tailwind CSS
- JavaScript (Next.js / React)
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards referenced in this statement. The site is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
